Moderate bleeding and still viable pregnancy?

I got a positive pregnancy test at my doctor's office this morning but have been having bleeding for 3 weeks on and off (that's why I went in). I am probably about 6 or 7 weeks along and they are doing Hcg testing to see if the pregnancy is viable. I won't know much more till Friday or even next week.

My question is, has anyone here had moderate bleeding for an extended period and still gone on to have a viable pregnancy?

I don't need to hear the stories about those that ended in miscarriage because I know that is most likely going to be the outcome here (I had the exact same thing happen 5 years ago). But i would love to hear if there are women who had my situation and still went on to have a healthy pregnancy and baby!

Thanks!

Yes I had on and off moderate (like a period) bleeding at 12 weeks along with my youngest son. I had placenta Previa which means the placenta had attaches down low to the cervix causing the bleeding. It corrected itself in a few weeks and the bleeding stopped. I thought I was having a miscarriage when I first saw all the blood because I had two other pregnancies and never bled with those so I freaked out but it turned out fine.

hope everything works out for you

With my oldest daughter I bled for the entire first trimester. It lasted about as long as a period last, but It kept happening for the first three months.

6 years later.... I have a healthy, happy beautiful 5 (almost 6) year old daughter :)

I know it is scarry but try not to stress out about it too much. Watch tv, read a book, have a girls night out,or doo something else to try to get your mind off of it. (As impossible as that may be)

    I wish you the best!!
