Why is it that every time...?
...I peer into this section, I can see very few legitimately posed questions? Even the ones masked as questions end up being a "question and answer" within the question, with the title line being the question and the detail being the answer.
The rest seems to be just mudslinging and bickering between proponents/opponents of some party, person, or law; many serve no purpose but to stir up trouble and reactions.
Granted, I don't expect anyone on Y!A to answer questions seriously, 100% of the time. I mean, we all enjoy our fun. But here, it seems hard to get to the serious answer. If I asked, actually not knowing the answer, "What is Obama's policy on ______", I should be able to get (somewhere in the 50% range) serious answers.
So is there anyone here who seeks to provide actual information, rather than agitating anyone not supportive of their political opinion?
Snoobling - thanks, you've perfectly demonstrated exactly what I was referring to. Bravo, asstard. Give yourself a pat on the back and a golden star on your special helmet!
Hussein demonstrated my point exactly - submitting a biased answer.
Dr Jay, Andy, and You Can't Block, thanks for legitimate answers. 3 out of 7 is still under 50%, as I suspected :(

I agree with your assessment. Many use this venue to somehow try to score political points by setting up straw man arguments (which is just ridiculous in and of itself because it assumes that whatever is said here matters), or in attempt to goad the other side into an argument.
It's childish, which is why I just ignore them.

I occasionally do try to provide actual information on a nonpartisan basis. I think a few other posters to YA POlitics do the same.
There's so much blatant advocacy in here, however, that the temptation for everyone is to follow suit. "When in Rome, do as the Romans do," and all that. I'd say the vast majority of the questions asked, including mine, are rhetorical, designed to elicit a particular answer to make a particular point.

This section is turning like society and culture other, the section I left. Like that Sue Ellen character asking racist questions about Jew, Mexicans and Black and "sorry whites". I going to once again, move to another section if this keeps happening.

Because moron, the top line is the question, the area for the rest is supporting information. Do you read that stuff called instructions when you post?
You can pose a question, and give what you think the answer is in the supporting information and allow others to do the same to get opinions.
Look up the definition of question. A question is a question even if you don't like the question.
You're pretty much a sanctimonious idiot.
