Moving to France for 7 months, do I bring my cat? ?

She's my pride and joy. We absolutely adore each other. I planned on bringing her but then someone mentioned that I would have a difficult time finding an apartment, and that it would hinder me in doing weekend trips while I'm there. If I don't bring her, my parents will gladly take her while I'm away (they love her so much). Thoughts??

Leave your cat with your parents. It is difficult to get animals into some countries. She will be better off with your parents.

  • if you want to bring her with you then talk to some landlords in france to find a place that allows cats. having her with you won't hinder you from doing weekend activities as long as she has adequate food, water, and a clean litter box for the weekend. if you are not sure then just leave her with your parents and check up on her from time to time until you get back.

That depends on the age of the cat and her general health. Do you think she would be happier with you or stay with your parents? Since its not a permanent move, I think you'd be better to leave her with your parents. Will you be able to visit her every so often?

Leave her with her parents she knows them and she might not like being in an unfamiliar place.
