The backs of my hands are very red, dry and are cracking.?

They tend to get worse when doing dishes, or in the shower. Also my hands get sweaty when I'm not doing anything. Just don't understand why they are doing this as it has never happened in the past. Any ideas would be helpful.

be careful with how hot you have the water. hot, steamy water really zaps the moisture on your skin!:) when you do the dishes, break out those yellow rubber gloves. they look silly, but really are great skin savers. i use them:) and when you are done in the shower, use a thick moisturizer.
