Good question, I will not argue that I am right, that would be arrogant. The word religion comes from a Latin root which means linking back. A religious perspective is a way to approach existence. How do I as a human being fit into the cosmos? What is my relationship to other humans? Non-humans? What are my responsibilities and why? Some religions do a better job of helping people with these questions than others. Each person has to sort that out for themselves. I am seeing a cross-pollination occurring across religions. The purists in any tradition will decry any, such actions, but they are, I believe, spitting in the wind. A healthy religious tradition is always open to new information and new understanding. It then seeks to understand it in the context of how does this knowledge make us better people.
So, if I believe all beings have a Buddha-nature, or are informed by the Inner Teacher or Inner Christ, does that help me understand the worthiness of all beings? I hope so. People of other traditions of belief, or non-belief may use other terminology, but seeing us all with value is the important part. Gassho.

Philosophy its Role in Science and Religion
Peace.
Based on my humble observations, this is what has been perceived.
Ancient, manuscript copies [MSS], in ancient Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek, contain information construed as scientific, that, have proven to be way ahead of man's scientific progress.
These MSS are from recorded dates of 3500 B.C.E. to first century C.E., whilst Modern Science is
about 450 years old.
From about the time of Noah's flood about 2900 B.C.E. [ in B.C.E. higher numbers are less recent, e.g. 10 B.C.E. - 9, 8, ... 2, 1 B.C.E. then 1 C.E. ] many flood myths emerged from the region of Mesopotamia. The Bible mentions how the languages were confused in ancient Babylon, thus accounting for the dispersion of these versions of the flood.
In time myths [of various sorts] influenced how philosophers thought, and the early Christian movement after the death of the apostles eventually was submerged by these philosophers, an
event PREDICTED by the Bible [ 1 Timothy 4:1; 2 Thessalonians 2:9- 12; 2 Timothy 4:1- 4, Daniel
12:4, 9, 10].
So by the time of Copernicus, Religion [including professed Christianity], and Science, were more governed by philosophy, rather than by unadulterated FACTS.
Copernicus, in disproving the misled philosophy of an earth- centered galaxy, tried to show, that the sun-centered galaxy, proves how organized the Bible's God is, but, reason was not a common commodity then.
As time progressed, Modern Science, became more and more refined. Religion on the other hand did not see a LIGHT, until a group known as International Bible Students, started to study the Bible
in a 'scientific' way.
Bible truths revealed the fallacious Neo-Platonic concepts of Eternal Torment, Trinity, and Immortality of the Soul.
Although Modern Science has 'dropped' most of its philosophical baggage, it has retained the fallacy
of Evolution. Certain branches of science although largely dropping metaphysics, has introduced
Theoretical Physics, which, may run the risk of introducing the religion of blind faith in science.
Caution
It therefore is prudent, to consider ALL the facts, in any deliberation of TRUTH.

There is none but since we don't seek nor even want converts, we do not force our faith into laws or schools, we adore the sciences and make wonderful scholars, we do not bother anyone unless they force our hand, preferring to stay to ourselves, we don't even indoctrinate our own children but instead merely teach them the lore as we would any other and expect them to be open minded and tolerant of the beliefs of others, it doesn't really matter, does it? My faith is highly cultural and I, for one, would appreciate it if people from outside the base culture stay away from it. When you bring other cultures into the mix, all you do is corrupt the faith and we don't want that. It's done Christianity no favors, that's for sure. (I'm looking at you, Africa and vast swaths of the US)

None. First off my religious beliefs are right for me. I could care less if it's right for anyone else. Secondly my religious beliefs are based on natural orders of life, so if I want to be real nitpicky I could claim that just by watching nature I see "evidence".

God and the Bible=THEORY.....supported by evidence we can see study and test today.
Evolution=THEORY......supported by guesswork, billions of years, kinds changing into different kinds.
THEY are BOTH theories. EVERYONE puts their faith into something. You have faith when you believe your ancestors are monkies, rocks, or whatever....Nobody has EVER seen a kind change into a different kind, NOBODY EVER IN HISTORY.
Christians put their faith in God. NOBODY has ever seen God on this earth, NOBODY has ever seen God here. He spoke via burning bushes, smoke on the mt, whirlwinds, prophets, ect.
THERE ISN'T much solid evidence for either threory, and we put out FAITH in one or the other.
Give me thumbs down.....my BIBLE says that 'Fools HATE wisdom', it also says you lack understanding, and knowledge burns your little heads.....SO, I expect a fool to read this and give me a thumbs down. It just confirms my Bible and what it teaches me.

Dont forgot to ask that the evidence must not come from their own religious books. Or it'll end up being a cycle of self-validation.
edit: LMAO SEE ABOVE.

It is personal evidence. The best kind.
