The muscle tightened up when you got kicked to cause that pain. To get rid of the pain you have to free up your calf muscle and here's how to do that:

While sitting and your leg pulled into your lap press both thumbs into the back of the muscle about 3 inches above your ankle and hold a good amount of pressure on it. Now relax your body by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. After you have had the pressure there for 30 seconds slowly pull the front of your foot up towards your knee as far as you can. Then release the pressure but continue holding your foot up for another 30 seconds. Then do the other one if needed.

Yeah, it could be a tear or it could just be a bad bruise to the muscle and that would hurt really bad as well. They take a long time to heal. I would apply ice whenever you can 20 minutes on and then 20 minutes off and see if you get any relief. If not better soon, I would go to the doctor just to have it checked out.
