I just turned on Sports Center and what do you think the top story is?
That's right!
Obviously, how could you talk about anything else: The NFL lock out.
After that: Dirk Nowitzki
Then: Derik Jeter on the DL.
Isn't there something else, that might be just a little bit more important than the Yankees short stop, in the pivotal game number 66 of a 162 game season?

ESPN doesn't give a sh*t about hockey. Why should anyone be surprised at all by this?

I turned on ESPN because I saw that a hockey game was going on. Know what they showed? Bowling. A replay of some classic women's bowling from the 70s.

This is a channel that now shows poker and fishing as if they were sporting events. Can we really be surprised they arent able to comprehend a high skill sport such as hockey....did I mention they showed a freaking dog show too! I dont even know what channel ESPN is in my house, I find real sports channels now.

Sports center is only good for sports obsessive random factoid guy.. perfect for bartender and waiters ot always spout off the latest whats happening in all sports.. but it is actually pretty aweful about giveing any indepth information about any sport especially hockey.. ESPN is still bitter about loosing the NHL

I'm surprised they didn't lead it off with LeBron and his homies.
ESPN is a joke. They didn't even cover the Winnipeg getting a franchise story until late in that day, about 6 hours after it was announced. LOL

Didn't you know that they do not do hockey. Honestly, they don't get any money from it because they carry no games so they just push it aside like it doesn't exist. That's ESPN for you.

well, the nhl does need any promotions for the stanly cup final game. We do not need a bunch of bandwagon fans getting on board to spend their money. :)

The Canadian version of Sportcentre is literally ALL hockey. They RARELY talk about the NFL Lockout, and at least do MLB and NBA highlights. NHL all day bro

ESPN is a Joke when it comes to covering the NHL. Half the time they screw the names up of the players so I don't even bother watching it
