Has lack of sleep as a parent ever made you do anything strange?

sooo i just went to wash my hands at work and as i looked in the mirror, i realized i had one gold hoop with sapphire gems in my right ear and a dangly gray stone earring in my left ear that matches the necklace im wearing today................how on earth did i not notice that omg....*face palm* my patients probably think im a lunatic dressing like that.

Update:

and i just realized i brought the milk for my cereal for lunch....and left the cereal at home........what a great day.

Not nearly as entertaining, but once I went out and noticed (two hours later) that I had on one brown shoe and one black shoe.

I've literally left the house in my pajamas, my hair wasn't brushed, but my make-up was done. I was half way down the street pushing the stroller when I realized it. Thank goodness for that car being parked on the side of the road. I glanced towards the window and noticed my reflection. Then I speed walked home trying not to look too paniced. I figured if I showed confidence I could rock the whole fresh out of bed look.

I've also put milk in the cupboard and cereal in the fridge. The worst part was I didn't realize it till an hour later when my oldest wanted a drink. I looked in the fridge forever and I just couldn't figure it out. Then I noticed the cereal and it dawned on me.... it wasn't one of my brightest moments. I'm fairly certain I'm not the only one who has ever done that.

No, your patients just think you're a product of the 80s! I have tried to drink from my babies bottle after one particularly long night. Left the house without shoes and made it halfway to the store before realizing (luckily I keep an extra pair of clothes, including shoes, in the car).

So, yes, definitely done some strange things, those are just the two that came to mind!

I cleaned up after dinner one night and placed all the items that should have gone in to the refrigerator into the canned goods pantry. The next morning at breakfast, I convinced myself that we'd run out of milk and I just didn't notice. It was almost a week before I needed something canned again and found the milk, butter and leftovers from dinner.

one strange thing i did was when he was a baby.he woke up wanting a feed one night,so i dutifully went into the kitchen and got a bottle from the fridge.kettle on,the boiled water in a jug and the bottle in the jug.i started to measure the formula in and for some odd reason, instead of taking the excess formula off in the formula container,i scraped it over and into the bottle and then put the newly measured scoop back into the box!i realised as soon as i did it and thought 'what an idiot!'

my most recent one was telling my son that he couldn't have a ice lolly because he hadn't had any fruit or his breakfast, until my partner reminded me that he HAD both of those things.i had to give him the ice lolly.oh,and one day i went out with my top on inside out and had to duck behind a church to turn it the right way

  • Yep! my son nursed every two hours ON THE DOT! lol I fell asleep standing at the ironing board and burned through a blouse I was ironing. I also walked into walls, doors, tripped a lot - I looked like an abused wife! I opened a cabinet door into my face and no one believed me! I slammed a car door on my foot, put dog kibble in my sons cereal bowl....i was feeding my older kids and the dog at the same time one morning. Thought I was going to lose my damn mind. Never did really find it either. Baby is 14 years old now too. LOL

I went for like a week and a half wearing only one diamond stud. I panicked when I finally noticed because I thought I somehow lost the other one. Checked the jewelry box, and there it was, I has just forgotten to put it in. Ad the funny thing is, NOBODY mentioned, not even my husband. I guess htey took pity on me.

Yep. Well usually I just tend to mispell things and not make sense. And sometimes I just sound really crazy. Or I'll call 1 of my sons the wrong name. Or I'll put on odd socks

But the worst thing I did was probably.........Putting on my sons jacket when I went grocery shopping and his name is Embroidered on it. So there I was in Tesco wearing a jacket saying ETHAN WALKER 17. ______ Rugby under 16's team.

There was more than one occasion when I put the milk back in the cupboard instead of the refrigerator and once I went to work in my slippers.

This morning, I put my shorts on backwards and inside out. I didn't realize until 2 hours later.
