5 AnswersAdoption9 years agoHow can I even up my tan quickly?
Im getting married on Sat 4-28. I got sunburned a few weeks ago wearing a tank top. Its faded to a nice tan but my dress has straps that just barely graze my shoulders and my tan lines will show pretty badly. Would spray tanning work or just make it worse?
2 AnswersOther - Skin & Body9 years agoFoundation help that covers but isnt slathered on?
Im *gasp* MIDDLE AGED! Im 42, but look about 35..so far. Im beginning to notice some fine lines around my eyes and Im also noticing some areas of sun damage (damn the 80's!) where there is a bit of discoloration. I need a foundation that isnt thick but provides coverage. Im using L'Oreal covermatch and it matches PERFECTLY but provides NO coverage for the red and/or darker areas on my cheeks. Any ideas ladies?

21 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWild RES has moss on his shell and seems to be losing skin on his neck. Is there anything I can do"?
He's wild, in a pond at work but with the drought there is no way for him to get out of the pond to "sun" himself. Could this be what's happening? I feed about 12 turtles here a work and he seems fiesty and all but I worry about his shell and skin.

He had no parteners for the last 20 or so years. What would happen to his files, records etc...even the realy old ones possibly in storage?
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics10 years agoWho is to judge and who gets to pick who judges?
Im not completely familiar with 'today's' modern type adoptions. When I surrendered my son, there were no open adoptions...very very few teens parented their babies either.
To elaborate: many people come on here and say-when you give up your baby you are giving it a better home, a better family, a better chance. WHO SAYS? WHO gets to decide that and why? When did it become someone else's job to decide what is best for MY (your, her, his) child? I came/come from a middle class family. I wasnt kicked out into the street. I wasnt on drugs or usuing alcohol, I wasnt a straight A student but I held pretty steady B's. SURPRISE! MOST babies are gven up by white, middle class or upper middle class women and girls with average to above average intelligence and /or grades. NOT drug addicts, NOT homeless women, NOT women/girls being abused. So, again, WHO should be judging these women as unfit...who is deciding /pushing/telling these women they should not keep and parent their own children and WHY IS THIS STILL HAPPENING?

8 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agowhy do others on here think that we adoptees?
dont have normal lives and such? apparently, everyone thinks we spend our whole lives quivering in a corner or picketing the white house ( or wherever you are from ) and act like this all the time. We dont. We have jobs, kids, husbands, sig o's and regular lives - on here you only get to see one small part of who we are...sometimes its a dark, sad part.
9 AnswersAdoption1 decade agoWere dogs just better back then?
Ive had 5 or 6 dogs in my 41 years and it wasnt until recently that 'crating' became the "in thing" to do. We never had housebreaking issues. We never had destructive issues. Were dogs just bred better back then? Not so high maintenence?
12 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhat do you think the % is of adoptees that end up becoming bmoms?
or natural moms or however you personally like to have it typed. Im a bmom. Im also an adoptee. I know, myself, 3 adoptees who later gave their babies up for adoption and I wonder just how often this happens if anyone maybe has an idea. Not adoptees who also become young, single mothers...Im just asking about those of us that end up putting our babies up for adoption, as I did

WTF? The last 6 inches of his tail just hangs straight down-the first 6 inches seems fine. He doesn't seem to be in pain unless I try and touch it. I called the ER vet and they sd it would be amputated! Why???
