Do I need to see a doctor... softball line drive to the ankle?

During a scrimmage Sunday night, I took a line drive to my ankle near the end of the game. There's not much swelling, but there is bruising underneath where I was hit. It doesn't really hurt my ankle to walk on it (sore to the touch), but my calf and knee feels tight- like there's a lot of pressure when bending my knee after having it in the same position for a while. I've been trying to stay off of it as much as possible, and I've been icing it 20 min on/20 min off both nights, and it's doing much better today.

Do I need to go to the ER or see a doctor, and how long with it take for this thing to heal completely? I have another practice this weekend and am not confident that I will be able to make it.

while i grow to be in extreme college, i grow to be hit in the two shins and the comparable element handed off. I went to my coach and he suggested it grow to be a bone bruise. And it injury plenty yet he would have me ice it for extra or less 20 minutes then rub down the lump and push it up my shin, smoothing out the swelling so there wasn't a great knot. yet i'd particularly propose going to a doctor or seeing your colleges athletic coach and taking discomfort relievers to help. desire it gets extra effective for you =]
