How much do Vets normally charge to fix Cats, (neuter)?

I think I got ripped off when I had my two female kittens neutered. How much is considered reasonable?

Prices vary between veterinarians and also location makes a difference. Another factor is the age of the kittens. If the kittens are between tiny (2#'s and up), average in Minnesota is $400-$450. If they are 5 to 6 months prices range anywhere from $80 and up. Hope this helps.

It depends where you go. Every vet charges different prices. It is really the anesthesia which is the majority of the cost and liver test to make sure they can give anesthesia to your pet before surgery. Many towns and cities offer low cost neutering 65 dollars or so. I think I paid a hundred or more for 2 cats.

A female kitten at our local spay/neuter clinic is $125 plus taxes, males are $65 plus taxes. Regular vets charge nearly twice that.

In Canada at my vet, it is 70 bucks I think, but you have to go through the hassle of shots and de-worming and stuff, so I left her, and she had kittens..

Where I live it is usually around 30 to 50 dollars. How old were they? Did they get shots also? I assume they weren't pregnant. Also, did they get flea medication and deworming? Nails trimmed? Check your bill.
