A hero is someone who goes above and beyond what is expected without a thought of how it might effect them in the process. Someone who saves people, animals or things in order to gain something for themselves is not a hero.

Hero- Somebody who is selfless, well-rounded, and is willing to put themselves on the line for the greater good of the world. Somebody who is a good representation of the community.
Not a Hero- Somebody who does good deeds for bad reasons (e.g. saving the person for reasons other than the person's own benefit.) Someone who is not well-rounded, and has a one sided point of view.
