question about burst eardrum in my baby?
my daughters ear drum burst early this morning and the doctor told me not to wipe IN the ear to get the gunk, but rather let it weep out of the ear and wipe it off... but now (sorry sounds gross) its gone all dry and crusty around the opening to her ear and in the little cup bit that runs into the lobe.. is it ok to wipe in the ear to get the crusties out? or do i have to wait til it heals - if so does anyone know how long this takes?

I think it would be ok to wipe it out just dont go in the ear canal, did you get ear drops and antibiotics to use? good luck
EDIT: the draining shouldnt take any more then a couple days, keep her head out of water too. If you give her a bath be very careful!
