my daughter looks a good bit like me, but i do see parts of her daddy in her. However, she has this "onry" (sp?) face that is my brother 100%!! its so neat to see the different similarities in them!

My daughter looks a little like me and a little like her Dad. Until recently, I thought she looked a lot like my husband's sister.
My son looks like my husband did when he was little. He has my in laws extremely fair coloring.
After all this, yesterday at the museum we did this thing where a camera takes your picture and then ages you, showing normal aging compared to what could happen if you smoke, spend too much time in the sun or are obese. It was very strange to see how much my daughter looked like me when she was aged to where I am now. My son and my Mom looked very similar at 65.

My kids look like a mix between the two of us, but I do see a lot of my mom in law in my daughter, whereas my son has some features like chubby cheeks, that don't look like me or my husband but resembles my dad's side of the family.
And yes, it is neat, as your daughter gets older and her little personality emerges you'll see even more similarities and differences.

I can pick out features my kids have that are similar to those of my husband's and mine... you can definitely tell that we're all related, but in general I would tend to say that my kids look more like one genetic "side" or the other more than they look like a specific relative. Two of my three resemble my side of the family -- we all pretty much have the same short, athletic body type, a certain range of hair color, defining facial features, etc -- and the baby takes after her dad's "side" in the same respect.
I've been told my entire life, though, that I look exactly like my aunt. Older family members routinely call me by her name, mistaking us, and I actually have a funny story about how I was once pulled aside in a random shopping mall by my aunt's college friend who recognized me and although we had never met, she knew I had to be related to my aunt somehow! Bizarre.

My brother looks like my dad, my sister is an exact copy of my mum, but I am the spitting image of my maternal grandmother. It's strange actually, I was always closer to her than my siblings were and then one day I found a picture of my Grandma when she was younger. I swear it was like looking into a mirror! If the photo hadn't been so tarnished and old-looking, and the young girl so classically dressed, I might have mistaken it for a photo of me :)

Certain faces they make give me flashbacks of my siblings. I see a few similarities between my youngest and my husband's brother, too.
They are spitting images of my husband, though. It's freaky looking at my husband's baby pictures and my kids' baby pictures, because you could swear they are all the same baby.

Oh yes. My oldest and youngest both looks just like my husband. It's finny because all of their baby pictures look practically the same. My second son looks a lot like me/my father, and my third is a mix of mom and dad.

My nephew, my sisters son, is the spitting image of our brother. If you put their baby pictures side by side they look like the same kid...its crazy.
And my son looks exactly like my husband I think the only thing he inherited from me is his skin color hahaha.

My cousin looks like my mom's cousin's twin. If you look at their baby pictures, or pictures from when they were in high school the ONLY difference is their hairstyle, well clothes style too from being 20-something years apart. Other than that, you would swear they are identical twins.

My oldest son looks exactly like his father who looks like his father. My daughter looks exactly like me and I look exactly like my mother. My middle boy, I believe has bone structure like myself but my husbands eye and hair color. It does rather amuse me to see all of ourkid pictures lined up and see the similarities.
