Help!! Is my cat going into labor?
I adopted a cat who was already pregnant a few weeks ago. She is now very large and sunday night at 10:00 PM I think her water broke.. She got up and there was a wet spot on the bed where she was and it had no color. Ever sense then she has been leaking this slim greenish mucus looking stuff... She is licking down there more often as well.. i guess trying to keep clean. She is still eating like normal and seems happy and loving as usual. My question is how much longer will it probably be before the kittens are born? According to what i was told by the people who where getting rid of her she breed on the 4th of september.. Im not sure if that was completely accurate but i figure it was close to what they said. I have got her several spots in quiet areas to choose from. Thanks for any help.
I have done plenty of reading and threes nothing that suggest she needs to go to the vet. So for the first two people that answered. Yahoo answers would be so much better with out you on it. It can take several days for a cat to completely lose there mucus plug. They don't always lose it all at once. If some one with experience has any advice or a time line of when i really should consider taking her to the vet that would be helpful. Thanks.

this does not sound normal at all. I rescue cats and have never seen a cat leak out green stuff. Its usually kind of bloody. She should have already had her kittens. Mostly things happen really quickly. I mean water breaks and she has all kittens within 10 hrs. I would be making a vet app. Our stray had to have a c section and 3 kittens died. Only one survived and he had to be bottle fed. The mother almost died as well. She was loving on us and drinking normally. Her kittens were to big for her body and got stuck.

If she is "leaking this slim greenish mucus looking stuff" for 36 hours, something is WRONG. Take her to the vet, NOW. EMERGENCY.
