  • One of my neighbors just came over and asked if i wanted to have there pregnant dog?

They have a small dog, probably weights 12 to 16 pounds. They came over and said she got pregnant so they are takeing her to the pound in the morning... She said she felt bad to do this and was going around asking our neighbors if they wanted her first. The dog was so sweet and i felt so bad for her that i took her... I'm having some real concerns though because i really have no experience with pregnant dogs or whelping pups.. I want to try though for this little dog.. She is a weenie dog mix. I will take her to the vet Friday when i get my check and i am going to make that appointment in the morning. In the mean time any advice?? The neighbors said she knows when she got pregnant. She said she found them tied in the back yard. (It was around the 18th of November) I asked what size was the dog and she said about the same as her.. Anyway she is just starting to show but i can tell she is pregnant also. Can i bath her? Also is it safe to have her nails trimmed? And she gave me what was left of her dog food. It is Alpo brand. Can i mix in anything like a cooked egg or some canned tuna? I know i will get more info as i search the net and talk with the vet, but.........im just freaking out a little bit about what i have got my self into.... I just want to help the dog through this and im on a limited budget...

  • My cat gave birth Thursday night at around 8:30PM to one dead kitten and one live kitten. But she still seems?

pregnant. She was not due until the 4th of November but the 1st she will be 61days along. The live kitten is a little premature because i can tell its small and has no hair on its feet and ears. It is aggressively nursing though and seems to being doing great. The thing is she still seems pregnant and I Think i can still see baby's moving in her belly. My normal vet is closed today. I called around and found a number for an emergency vet. I talked to someone that said she problem was just delivering the dead baby and will hold the rest to term... She is doing fine, eating ,drinking, and taking care of her baby. She is very proud of her little lonely kitten! Im asking for advice here. Has any one had any experiences like this? Please help.

  • Help!! Is my cat going into labor?

I adopted a cat who was already pregnant a few weeks ago. She is now very large and sunday night at 10:00 PM I think her water broke.. She got up and there was a wet spot on the bed where she was and it had no color. Ever sense then she has been leaking this slim greenish mucus looking stuff... She is licking down there more often as well.. i guess trying to keep clean. She is still eating like normal and seems happy and loving as usual. My question is how much longer will it probably be before the kittens are born? According to what i was told by the people who where getting rid of her she breed on the 4th of september.. Im not sure if that was completely accurate but i figure it was close to what they said. I have got her several spots in quiet areas to choose from. Thanks for any help.

  • I have a few questions about USDA guaranteed home loans.?

How long does it typically take to be pre approved it the application is sent by mail? Do we have to pay for the home to be inspected? If repairs are needed who would be responsible for fixing them? Would that be some thing that the buyer is responsible for or the seller? The property that we are hoping to get had a pool but is now really just a giant hole in the ground! We know that this may stop us from getting this home. But we would have the hole filled in if we did get it. Is there any way to be approved for the home with an agreement that it will be filled in? We are new to this and we have so many questions. Thanks for any helpful answers or advice.

  • A stray cat showed up at my doorsteps this morning. She is solid white and very preety. But?

she has something wrong with her ears. She is shy and i was afraid to pick her up but i sat by her while she ate ( i feed her) and looked at her ears. The are pink and scabby looking. They are bent back a little. There is no blood.. And i looked closely as i could inside her ears and didn't see anything wrong on the inside. She has been sleeping on my porch all morning now and im thinking about keeping her. Does anyone have any idea about what could be wrong with her ears? Thanks for any help.

  • My 5month old mini dachshund keeps playing to ruff with our cat & 2 kittens. She has pulled bald spots on ?

Them! Every time i see her bitting and draging them i yell at her to "leave that cat along" so she does till i turn my head... I keep them seperated as much as i can. Ive only had her a month and 2weeks and i have taught her to sit, shake, roll over, and lay down. She knows her name and always looks when i say it. But when i tell her to come if she doesent see a treat in my hand shes happy to ignore me. Anyway i guess shes dong good for her age im just frusterated with her being so ruff with my cats. My tom has a big bald spot between his ears where she snatched the fur out. He want swat the puppy and teach her to stop and the two kittens are just to little. Please help me find a solution because its impossable to always keep them seperated. Thanks for helpful answers.

  • I just bought this book. THE WHOLE PET DIET by Andi Brown. Now im confused on what to feed my dogs?

In the recipies in the book meats always the main ingredient then carrots, celery, collard greens, suash, pumpkin, rosemary, sage, even garlic? I thought garlic was poision to dogs? It also suggest plain yogurt, cottage cheese and raw or cooked eggs, fruit too. Does this sound like things a dog should eat? Please help. Thanks.
