Is there a limit to everything?

Or to put it another way, is everything the same as infinity?

    Infinity is an idea, a thought. It doesn't actually quantify anything. The limit of e^x is infinity, yet this number at infinity is different than the limit of x^2. They both go to infinity yet both are different.
