No, not a doctor. Not with a pulled muscle. You should go to a licensed massage therapist or practitioner for that. My older sister is a massage therapist and she's got GREAT education and all that and massage therapists can handle pulled muscles MUCH better. All a doctor will do is give painkillers because they don't know much in that area and once people get painkillers, they think "oh, I'm better", so they overwork the muscle more and so it ends up tearing and so it'll never really heal. Now, if you went to a massage therapist, they could massage it to get it better. I told my older sister about your question and she said the above about doctors AND she said to get ice on it and rest, then have a licensed massage therapist massage it. It'll help MUCH better in the long run. :) So, rest, ice, massage. Rest, ice, massage. REST, ICE, MASSAGE. :)

No, there isn't really anything the doctor can do for you accept tell you to Rest Ice Compress and Elevate it. You just got to give the muscle time to heal by itself. Now if you ripped or tore the muscle then you need to go to the doctor. or maybe you pulled a ligament or tendon in you knee. that's also very possible and usually feels like your leg is going to give out. If so, ligaments and tendons take a while to heal. Just try to stay off it.
