Have a 6in mirror telescope, would like coordinates for Asteroid, here in Powell, Ohio?
I live in Powell, Ohio, just north of Columbus. I do have a 6 in mirror telescope, pretty old and big, need to dial in coordinates, just need to know what they are and will it be even visible? Or is it going to be too low?

Brandi, ..., checkout the website below. It will give you a star chart as well as a way to dial in the orbital data form JPL. BTW, you should be able to see it moving slowly through the constellations in the star chart below.
Also, this will be low on the Western horizon so you'll need a clear shot of the western horizon. As an example. if you look at the star chart, you'll see that the asteroid is passing directly under the star Altair in the constellation Aquila at 10:30PM CST. So if you can find and remain on the Star Altair, over an hour or so you should see the asteroid pass below the star Altair. Now, just one more tip. The star Altair will be very bright in your scope so once you find Altair move your scope so that it's just out side of your field of view so you're not blinded by it's light.
For Columbus: Altair should be at:
RA: 19h 50m 46.9994s
Dec: +8° 52' 05.980"

you can also watch it on the web at the last three links below

Download the free planetarium program Stellarium
Once installed and set to you date and location, you can download from within the program itself comet and minor planet information, and then simply use the search function to zero in on the object. Right Ascension and Declination will be displayed as well as magnitude and orbital properties.
Another freeware program that allows similar uses, but is more complex is Cartes Du Ciel (Sky Charts). It does offer more display and printout options if you need it.
