Is it okay to tell a parent their child is rude?
Or will that only result in a rude response from the parent these days?
I notice increasingly that when some children are rude their parents are okay with that. For example, today I was carrying something heavy on a narrow path and a girl about 8 years old came running at me from the opposite direction. There was no room to step aside, so I had to step back about 3 or 4 feet to let her pass. The father watched this and only told the girl she should have said "excuse me." "Excuse me" when the kid forced me off the path? That's about the same as saying get out of my way or I'll run right into you. I said nothing but thought that the father was a real jerk.
What would you have done?

I wouldn't have moved.....a good learning experience for her, when she bounced off me. :o)
I am not sure why people are afraid to give directions to someone else's child. You could have warned her to slow down, or asked her to let you through first.

I'm not a parent but coming from a teenager's point of view, I would've just left it alone. I mean why cause the trouble of having an argument with someone when you could be doing something else. You should just raise your children like the opposite of that. Tell your children this story one day and how it affected you so they would know better than to just force someone to move out of the way. :)

The father was letting the daughter know she SHOULD HAVE said excuse me. Little kids don't know any better. Hopefully the parents teach them right and wrong. But if they are being extremely rude like saying rude things or harming you then yes tell the parent they're rude.

How approximately tricking them into revealing, like asserting which you're able to desire to count quantity what share boys vs. ladies interior the gang and the least puzzling way which you will count quantity is for all the lads to circulate to a minimum of one component and the females stay on the different component? yet once you're uncertain approximately basically a pair of infants, then you particularly could ask them. It has be a inventive way of asking, nevertheless. inclusive of: "in case you're able to desire to bypass, it is advisable to appreciate that the adult men's Room is that way." Watch how they respond or to what they say.

he prob doesn't want to seemtoo harsh but he should have saidmore. kids can be kids. they dont know what is rude and what isn't im not saying they are cluelesas or stupid but they aren't really thinking about it. when kids are younger and selfish they aren't thinking of others. they don't klnow they are doing that but never thell a parent how to parent. it's wrong from their perspective. evern if they need to be told it chances are they wont be happy with you! so dont and play it safe.

Yeah well the apple NEVER falls too far from the tree. Have rude parents, must have rude children. It is rude unto itself to tell someone else they are rude or their kids are rude. Being around kids everyday, I see some of the rudest, piggish, brats. I absolutley cannot believe it.

Say something if you don't care or aren't afraid of what the parent will do and/or say back.

At least he corrected her. Maybe not the best thing he could have done, but he intervened somewhat.
