Did you watch the Republican debate last night or figure it did not matter?
I mean if you are voting for Obama, what would change you mind?
If you are not voting for Obama, wouldn't it take something like the candidates getting into a brawl or saying there were 57 states or something really dumb like that to make you re-think that position?

I watched.
I am voting for Romney, but I want to see what the others are saying. These debates call attention to many things and I find them fascinating.
I would like to see regular debates between opposing members of the house and senate on a regular basis in a public forum. I think the people need to understand what these people are thinking. It could make a difference in how voting goes.
The political ads we see and hear are just snippets and there is nothing like longer term questions and conversations to make you truly understand what is going on.

The debates were to let Republicans see the various wanna-bes strut their stuff, and make a choice on who they want for their candidate. If Democrats watched, it would be to make fun of them, and to chart a course on how to defeat the one that receives the nomination.
People in the middle are the ones who watch to determine if they may change their vote.

Ron Paul is the only one who makes any sense. The War monger's that want to attack Iran are fools. "What if Iran gets one nuclear bomb" well Israel has over 400 and we have over 5000 so if they want to do something with their one pathetic bomb they may as well kiss their @sses goodbye. Paul gets the most support from the military because he is not playing god with their lives, like these other phonies who have never been there. He has been there so he knows what war is really like.

the truth is the only thing that will cause me to vote at all. so far only Ron Paul has my vote, though i do not fully agree with all his ideas, however if they are all constitutional then i will be in full agreement. His foreign policy is a good place to start, it could be changed if things happen that warrant it and I believe Ron Paul would be more than willing to do what is constitiutional in any event. Ron Paul or no one.

Newt did pretty good last night, Newt has confidence and has what it takes to lead this country in a better direction. We are in trouble. We have over spent, we need to pull out our troups sit back a while and regroup right here in America.
We need term limits, we need a flat tax so that the rich who try to cheat their way out of paying taxes won't be able to right off anything and the less income can pay their fair share also...
That would be a pretty good start.

Mitt Romney, for sure. He had the hardest questions of everybody (such as about his Mormonism and "turn-flopping"), and he replied each and every of them with poise, intelligence, and at circumstances humor. He had the purely perfect evening of everybody on that degree.

That was not a debate, it was an infomercial. As for Paul, just more reasons for serious people to ignore him.

Did not watch it. I am tired of the out of touch imbeciles bickering like school girls: "You so rich, No you are rich, I bet you $10,000. you are richer than me, No you are richer than me" Lets ask Donald Trump who is richer you or me....Ohh Romney you so crazy Im richer than you."
The debates are like a freaking valley girl soap opera.... They're all losers.

I watched it so that I could see the most honest man in politics try to talk some common sense to people. (Referring to Ron Paul of course)

I didn't but my husband did. He said it was the best one so far.
