Question about watch batteries?
I found 2 old watches in a drawer that don't work anymore, I know one of them still worked about 6 years ago, the other i don't know, probably it died before then. Is there a change that they might have leaked? And if so, does it stay in the watch or does it get out? Could it have leaked onto my other things? The backs of the watches look pretty clean, a bit dusty and dirty around the seams.

Watch batteries will leak but most times the chemicals will not escape the watch housing. Of course the watch is usually worthless after a leak. You would definitely have seen the white chalky looking material if the watch had leaked. Sounds like you are in good shape from that stand point.

Watch batteries generally don't leak. Besides, most watches are water resistant which means any leakage would likely be contained.
