can i give pill pockets for dogs to my cat?

i ended up buying pill pockets for dogs instead of for cats. can i give them to my cat even though they are for dogs? i dont want to give it to him if it has something in it that hes not supposed to have

Update:

since some people dont know:

pill pockets are pet treats that have a hole in the middle to put a pill in and feed to your pet so that you dont have to pry their mouth open to give them the pill

If it was food for every day I would say no (it doesn't have the nutrients that cats need) , but since you wont be using it for pills I would think it would be fine- assuming it's a flavor you can get your cat to eat.

Absolutely! If you mean the ones in the brown and green packaging. They have the exact same ingredients, but the cat pockets have extra taurine for eye health. Honestly, I called the company once! Its cheaper to buy the dog ones because they are bigger and you can break them into smaller pieces so they last longer. Only thing is some cats dont like the beef flavor. My cat got too smart for those and he would gag on them a bit.

Absolutely not, never do that. Give the pills to a friend who has dogs, and go get what you need for your cat.
