What is the male equivalent to hello kitty?

Or is there even one? Is it because guy's are less materialistic than girls and don't shop? I mean If I go out to shop I already have my mind made up on what I am going to buy. Rarely do I see something and be like oh I have to have this.

    Garfield would be my guess.

Hello Kitty was first designed for young girls up to about 8 yrs of age and then like a lotta things it just took on a life of its own and became a pop culture icon.

girls aren't any more materialistic than boys. ever hear ... "boys don't grow up to become men their toys just become more expensive" ~ ??

sure, maybe girls like to shop for clothes & stuff more but from my experience ... put a boy/guy/man in a shop/store of cars, car parts, motorcycles, boats, tools etc etc & they'll find some'n where they'll say: "oh, i have to have this" : )
