    Hey Suicidal :D

I've held many unrealistic and incredibly optimistic expectations for various movies which in turn have disappointed me to the point of nearly making me turn off a film without finishing it. There's a few films that I've had this happen to me with, such as "Something Borrowed" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0491152/), "Eat Pray Love" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0879870/), "The Final Destination" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1144884/), "28 Weeks Later" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0463854/), "Ninja Assassin" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1186367/) and the list really goes on and on.

However, the one that stands out the most, in which I had the highest expectations for with the biggest disappointment was the film "Loser" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0217630/). Jason Biggs was in "American Pie" which I though was actually not that bad and Mena Suvari was in "American Beauty" which I saw a few nights ago for the first time and it wasn't that bad. However, this film really dragged on with barely humour that I could laugh at (except for one "Fargo" joke but that's it) and I really just wanted to turn it off. I truly wasted $3 renting this film, I expected too much yet was so unrewarded.

BQ: "Little Children" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0404203/). I've heard a bit about this film and I've wanted to check it out since it does have Jennifer Connelly in it, whom absolutely amazed me in "Requiem For A Dream" and did a fairly good performance in "Blood Diamond". It then also has Kate Winslet in it, whom I find is quite a good actress especially after seeing her in "Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind". I doubt that the video store has this in stock though so it'll be tough trying to find it.

BQ2: This answer is probably expected, but I'm going to go with "The Dark Knight" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/). It's just one of those films that surpass the original in the way that "Aliens", "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" and "Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back" did with their predecessor. The acting was superb all around and it was just a wonderfully crafted vigilante film.

BQ3: "Antz" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120587/), I haven't seen this film in quite a while in perhaps maybe 5 years or so but it's an old film that I still remember quite vividly. It was a really enjoyable film and for it's time, the animation wasn't that bad either. I might check out "The Royal Tenenbaums" soon as I have heard it's pretty good too.

    - Have a good night :D

@Liam, thanks for the heads-up about "Little Children". I felt the same way about "The Exorcist" as well, I thought it worked well as a drama but wasn't so good in terrorizing me as I expected it would.

Terminator Salvation. All the perfect ingredients were there for a first rate, kick @$$ movie. but, I knew, with all that potential and history, that there was no way it was going to actually live up to those expectations. I was disappointed all the same.

also, Tron Legacy. again, I loved the first one so much and thought all the new technology should have provided lots of new territory for a sequel. but it didn't take advantage of any of the ideas by making it a closed system.

BQ: Martian Chronicles. haven't seen it in years and can't remember it very well. so I'm planning to rewatch it tonight.

    BQ2: The Prestige

BQ3: gotta be Unforgiven or The Conversation.

I was expecting to be blown away by Tron Legacy, but even though the graphics were great, the action scenes were a little too family friendly for me.

BQ: I plan to watch either Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid or Trainspotting next

    BQ2: Batman Begins

BQ3: If not Bonnie and Clyde then The French Connection.

The Exorcist, I just finished watching it. I did quite enjoy it but I didn't find it scary at all, and I thought it was going to be absolutely terrifying.

BQ: It depends what I feel like really, either Lake Mungo, American Psycho or The Green Mile

BQ2: The Machinist, I didn't particularly like the movie, but his acting performance was very good

    BQ3: The Royal Tenenbaums

@V Little Children is a very good film

    Hello Maddie :)

Good question, I'm not sure that I have really. Not totally unrealistic anyway. I guess I have expected to get more scared than I did get, with some horror movies.

    BQ: Munich (on DVD)

    BQ2: The Machinist

    BQ3: The Royal Tenenbaums :)

The Dark Knight (2008) is the reason Why I don't go to Theaters anymore.

    - The Best Movie Experience in my life. It's hard to beat that ..? The learning of Heath Ledger's passing affected me completely. He was/is my favorite Actor...I bring tears everytime I see The Name Heath...So, it's definitely Hard to walk into The Rave Theater...or Any Theater for that matter...

    BQ: Moneyball

BQ2: American Psycho ( Bale is an acting chameleon)

    BQ22: Unforgiven.

Source(s): I swear I asked my Question before hand. I have "piggybacked" q's in the past, but not this time. Thanks MJ.
