how would one go about finding if?

they have an inheritance in another state. there is an additional problem as well, time. it's been a while since my grandmother died, and I would like to find out if there was an inheritance left that I don't know of

    You contact the court system in the county where she died and ask if her estate was probated. If it was, and it must be if the estate was large enough and there was anything for you to inherit ,you can find out who the executor was and claim it from that person. They must do due dligence to attempt to find all heirs but if they advertised the probate and you did not come forward you are probably out of luck.
