Should Justice Ginsberg be removed from the court for her comments about?
the US Constitution? If she thinks South Africa is better, why doesn't she go there and be a Justice?

She should never have been appointed to the court in the first place with an opinon like that. However she is on the court and can't be ( and shouldn't be) removed for having a stupid opinon.

I don't agree with her, but free speech is not an impeachable offense. If you believe in the US Constitution then you must support this conclusion.
For those asking what she said. Read below:
"Asked by the English-speaking interviewer whether she thought Egypt should use the Constitutions of other countries as a model, Ginsburg said Egyptians should be “aided by all Constitution-writing that has gone on since the end of World War II.”
“I would not look to the U.S. Constitution, if I were drafting a Constitution in the year 2012. I might look at the Constitution of South Africa,” says Ginsburg, whom President Clinton nominated to the court in 1993. “That was a deliberate attempt to have a fundamental instrument of government that embraced basic human rights, had an independent judiciary. … It really is, I think, a great piece of work that was done. Much more recent than the U.S. Constitution.”"

Justices of the supreme court can be removed. The same criteria as for removal of a president. Impeachment by the house of representatives and conviction by a 2/3 vote of he senate, Good luck on getting that.

If you mean the comment that Egypt should not use the US Constitution as a model for how to design a constitution for Egypt itself -- that our Constitution is too old to be a good model -- no, I see nothing whatsoever about that comment that is offensive or that she deserves to be removed from the US Supreme Court. I do think that all members of the US Supreme Court who are activists should be removed for THAT reason, and to me that means all nine members of the Court. But I am trying to search for YOUR reason for wanting to remove just her, and my search for recent articles that stirred up some kind of controversy only reveals this comment on Egypt TV.

She should be subjected to close scrutiny and possible, if not probable, impeachment. It is her duty to uphold the Constitution and the laws of The United States of America. When the Justices don't do their job they are just as subject to removal through impeachment as any other member of the government. Her admiration for the government of South Africa against the USA is appalling.

What kind of buffoon calls for the removal of a Supreme Court Justice for exercising free speech?
You want to remove someone for cause, remove Thomas for the bribes his wife takes, as a lobbyist, and which he conveniently forgot to declare on his taxes.

I don't think she should be removed. I disagree with her completely as she is the most liberal judge on the Supreme Court bench.
But that aside, even judges are entitled to their opinions. However, activism has no place in our judiciary. Example? Remember Sotomayor said that it was in the Judicial branch that legislation starts and made a comment in regards that only someone with her background and race could make good judgement. That should be taken more seriously than what Ginsburg said. Sotomayor should be removed from the bench or forced to resign.

I'm pretty sure those are lifetime appointments, and you can't just frivolously remove someone; I'm not saying that we should have lifetime appointments, just that she can pretty much say anything she wants outside of declaring herself hostile to the U.S.

No, she needs to leave the planet. Take your personal skeeze and leave it alone. Then again, maybe she is just a judicial prostitute, and her personal beliefs are parked at the door.
