Should I have my 3 year old nose looked at?

My daughter was climbing off the coffee table earlier today, and slipped. She cut her lip and her nose look swollen and has some bruising to it. However it doesn't have all the signs of a broken nose, and now she is playing and finally calmed down after an hour. Her nose hurts only if you touch it, and she is breathing fine. The nose is just swollen and bruised.

I have worked with military children for over 20years and have see it all the time. Give her some ice for the nose and let her suck on some Popsicles. The mouth and tongue are the fastest area in the body to heal. The bones in the nose are very soft and playable, I never seen a broken nose in a child. Use the same pain reliever as you use all the time for her fever, etc. She will have bruise or two for a few days.

The swelling and bruising should go down in a week or so, if its worse tomorrow, you should take your daughter to a doctor and have the nose looked at

She's probably o.k. but it wouldn't hurt to have her checked. Make you feel better to.
