Ramadan- Your Favourite Sayings About Love/Marriage?
Asalaamu alaikum.
My elderly great-aunt wanted to make bags to throw rice at my upcoming nikah, but since it's not Islamic to do so, we've compromised on making mini gift-bags to hand to all the guests. One of the things in the bags are going to be sayings from the Qur'an and Sunnah about love and marriage. I was wondering which your favourite verses were so I could kind of get an idea of what to use? Lots of the guests, due to me being a revert, are non-Muslims. So we're using these little sheets as a sort of way to sneak dawah into the nikah. :-) Any ideas would be appreciated. Or any nikah advice at all, really.
Thank you all.
@Hitch Hiker- violence or mention of has no place in a nikah. A nikah is like a wedding. Hence the request for love and marriage quotes. Just in case you were confused about what I was asking for.
@ Fatima? (I'm sorry, I'm still learning to read Arabic. I have no idea if I'm close on your name, sister) - Sure, you can quote Rumi if you like.
@- o2cute4u_88 - Allah yibaarik feek
@- Juwaar Islam- I like those. :-) And I'm back occasionally. Busy planning nikah. Please make dua that we can complete it soon. :-)
I'm looking for a lot of quotes like the one where it says something along the lines of Allah looking at a husband and wife with mercy if they look at each other with love. I think it may be Bukhari but I haven't found the source down to the hadith number yet. Any of the more "cute" quotes are appreciated and others too. Thank you.

Prophet Muhammad (saw) said, "No house has been built in Islam more beloved in the sight of Allah than through marriage." (Wasa'il, vol. 14, p. 3)
Prophet Muhammad (saw) said, "No Muslim man has gained a benefit after Islam better than a Muslim wife who is a cause of his pleasure whenever he looks towards her." (Wasa'il, Vol. 14, p. 23)
Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as) quotes Prophet Muhammad (saw) as follows: "Allah says that, 'Whenever I intend to gather the good of this world and the hereafter for a Muslim, I give him a heart which is humble [to Me], a tongue which praises [Me], a body which can bear [worldly] affliction and a believing wife who is a cause of his pleasure whenever he looks towards her and who protects herself and his property when he is absent." (Wasa'il, Vol. 14, p. 23)
Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: 'The more one becomes faithful, the more one expresses kindness to his spouse.' [Bihar al Anwar, vol 103, p 228, as in "Principles Of Marriage & Family Ethics," by Ayatullah Ibrahim Amini, pub Islamic Propagation Organization)

Love and marriage, love and marriage
Go together like a horse and carriage
This I tell you brother
You can't have one without the other
Love and marriage, love and marriage
It's an institute you can't disparage
Ask the local gentry
And they will say it's elementary
Try, try, try to separate them
It's an illusion
Try, try, try, and you will only come
To this conclusion
Love and marriage, love and marriage
Go together like the horse and carriage
Dad was told by mother
You can't have one, you can't have none, you can't have one without the other!
No Sir!

This is better than anything your belief offers, especially since most of the nice stuff has been abrogated:
1 Corinthians 13:4–8a
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

►In western society, "love" ends with marriage.
In Islam, love starts with marriage.
►The Prophet Muhammad [SAW] said, "A woman is married for four things, i.e., her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion. You should marry the religious woman (otherwise) you will be a loser. " (Bukhari)
► The Prophet sallallahu alaihe wasallam has stated, "Marriage is the basis for blessings and children are an abundance of mercy." (Abu Dawood)

mabrook! may Allaah put barakah in your marriage, Ameen
Here's one ayah that is beautiful:
“And among His Signs is this, that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy”
[al-Room 30:21]
