The hospital wanted me to take off my clothes for a jammed finger?

I jammed my pointer finger the other day. I couldn't get an appointment with my local doctor because he wasn't available so I went to the hospital and the male doctor told me to take off my clothes and put on the hospital gown. I told him I jammed my finger, and he insisted that I take off all my clothes. He said he wanted to check if I had a cold, so they did some testing for mono, strep and then had a male nurse insert something in my vagina to see if I had an std. Does anyone find this weird, I went there for a jammed finger..and nothing else.. I feel like I should sue them.

This doctor seems like a f*cking sleaze ball who wants to take advantage of people by seeing them naked. Consult a lawyer. I think possibly a civil rights lawyer. What I see here is enough evidence that this doctor is taking advantage of you. I would be so pissed if this happened to a family member.

Let me know how it goes.

  • You should definitely sue. That is sexual harassment! You went in for one thing and the doctor didn't care about that. He wanted to give you a pelvic exam that you did not give him permission to do. Get all of your paperwork from the ER and any "prescriptions" and call a lawyer immediately!

A doctor has no right to check you for something other than what you come in foe, ie: your jammed finger.
