If someone was addicted to heroin and got clean what would it take for them to go back to heroin?

    It only takes like familiar places and familiar faces.That is why if you or anyone else was to be an addict you have to try and totally remove yourself and hopefully far from the situation.You also have to try and be willing to seek professional help as it is hard to do it alone.If you have ever watched the show ''Intervention'' on the A&E channel you would know what I mean.Heroin is a very bad drug habit to kick and it gets even harder to kick the habit the longer you are addicted to it.Heroin is way different then like nicotine or say marijuana.Well I hope this information helps

    ...I do believe that they cannot give it up.There is a family member who is now 50 years old and looks like he is ready to die.He has been into "rehab" about 8 times. I have been watching a few other people who supposedly used it and,same thing,they cannot get clean.They are not worth it...a waste of time and money.

    Environment....if a person takes a step into old habits, the drug habit may come bouncing back with a vengeance.

    it's pretty easy to relapse. All they'd have to do is have an urge that they can't fight.
