have you ever been in love?

I was 14 when I met the older 17 year old in my school gym on the second week of Mt sophomore year he had On a jean jacket with pins , a hat , red converse and a red shirt on .. I remember it like yesterday .. thinking to myself I want him in my life ... forever .. we went through so much heart break through high school it was all worth it through .. it was incredible how much we loved each other , we even move in together right after high school .... he moved to Japan(college) and our love never faded we just face the facts ..... I never stop loving him .. I am married now and I love my life but It still feel like a void in my life .. he recently contacted me on fb and we talk exactly how we use to , I told my husband about him and he is completely aware of where my first love stand ... I love him dearly even after almost 17 years .. real love doesn't fade

I don't know what you mean by "even though you had a full life"? I have loved and do love and I am still in love with my best friend going on 28+ years; does that count? My answer is YES. I know that feeling, it wasnt 20yrs for me but still a few years of not being able to stop thinking about somebody from your past is still a long time. Sometimes its just not meant to be no matter how much you love that person and then sometimes love will find a way and things will start happening even if you both already lived whole other lives. i would hope to still be in love with the person i marry, twenties years later. if it was someone i broke up with, a first love, they will always have a special place in my heart...fond memories, but stays in teh past.
