Weird, random question?

No, *definitely* not. That question may be random, but it's a good one, and it has come up in real life. It's not that nudists have a special exception or anything, it's that contrary popular belief, pictures of minors in a state of undress is not in itself illegal. In fact the law really isn't about nudity at all, it's about sexual conduct.

It's true that nudity can make a big difference in how sexual a picture is, but nudity alone does not make a picture sexually explicit. So as long as this hypothetical nudist family is taking perfectly innocent pictures just like any other family, only naked, they should not have any trouble. Of course not everyone understands this, so they would be well advised to use a digital camera and keep the pics well away from nosy people.

Simple nudity isn't sexual. The same can't be said for the way some parent's dress their kids. As "mini-sluts".

No as the children are not being portrayed in a sexual situation or implied connotations.
