careers similar to nursing?
I had been thinking about going to college and taking pre-nursing, but i'm not necessarily sure if I want to become a nurse yet. What other areas could I go into like nursing? I like helping people.

A secretary?
They are also involved with helping people.
They make appointments, take care of paperwork, insurance, answer phones, etc.
You can go to a community college and take a degree on administrative assisting/ office systems. Learn software such as word, powerpoint, excel, outlook.
You would be working closely with nurses and doctors in the same environment.

dental technician, x-ray tech, plebotomist, CNA, medication tech, pharmacy tech... anything in the medical field with the word TECH. If you 're not sure you want to be a nurse, start by becomming a certified nursing assistant and work for a little while. it's not expensive and the training isn't very long. Being in the actual hosptial environment will tell you if you want to move on and become a nurse. if you do, you will be ahead of the game by having that experience...
