Is there to be a One World Religion?

There will be but not from the example you quoted. When the beast rises to power, things will change, and that's when the global religion will be implemented.

Ecumenism is more dialogue between the religions but I'm sure some people are trying for all religions to be merged.

I think there will be One World Religion. It will follow closely the structure and example of Roman Catholicism and may ape/mimic many of its' practices and structures.

I had a book which was a collection of prophecies which spanned over 1,500 years. The author, a Frenchman, gave a thorough investigation to the authenticity of the prophecies (to make sure they were not edited or added to) and published the book in the mid-70's. Many of these prophecies were about a New man-made religion,which was to be established in Rome. I think there was no clear consensus on the leadership or aims of this new church: some thought it was a collaborative human effort, while others suggested it would be guided by malevolent spirits.

A few years ago, on the God Channel, I heard a Minister speak of how the U.N. had purchased a site in Rome, which it intended to establish as the spiritual aspect/wing of the U.N. The Minister spoke at length on the topic and a lot of what he said was similar to what I had read in the book. It is possible that he read the same book, but if he did, he didn't credit it. Since the book was entitled "Catholic Prophecy", I doubt he read it.

There will be multiple reasons why this man-made church will be established and flourish: people will seek peace by their own power and efforts and not by seeking God.

There are two billions Muslims, one billion people of Christian faith. in this world. The only way that l could possibly see a one religion world is with a world war. In the olden days that is what happened. If you read history you may find that martin Lutherfamilyy was originally Jewish and had to change religions or die.

Only after the present existing ones are outlawed. It won't be a religion so much as a Shinto like belief system, or a system of Nationalistic Pride or of the "brotherhood of humanity," or some such. In other words, there won't be a Creator/God figure, it will be a system to sublimate religion or replace it in the hearts of men.

If you have read the gospels and failed to catch onto the fact that when Jesus talks about "the Kingdom of God" that what he's referring to = a word where everyone knows and serves YHWH . . .then my friend you have not read the gospels.

This theme of God being in the world with man, is at the beginning of the bible (Genesis), it is repeated over and over in the OT, from the ark of the covenant (God's mean to dwell among his people), to the temple, through the books of the prophets (The spirit of God will cover the world as the waters cover the sea), throughout everything Jesus says, throughout Paul, and on into the book of revelation (God's dwelling place is now among men).

And through it all, it is always talking about the WHOLE of humanity, not just Christians, or Jews . . .it is always about ALL.

If you are missing this consistent vein that is at the core of the entire bible, then are you really reading the bible?

It is happening now. There has been the recent emergence of Chrislam, and its numbers are swelling. The world will attempt to combine all the world religions into a single entity, which will dilute it to meaningless drivel. The world leaders are definitely under Satan's control. There is nothing that is sacred to them.

There will be a one world religion when the Lord above returns. "Yea, all kings shall fall down before Him, all nations shall serve Him." Psalm 72:11

Satan will establish One World Religion.

A One world religion? Sounds like something that many if not all Christians would love to see happen.
