Everyone has occasional "down" moods without just ONE event or experience triggering them. But typically, if you feel "sad" it's a result of a particular experience, wouldn't you agree?
Chronic or long-term and repeated periods of sadness for which you are unaware of a cause should be discussed with a professional counselor (therapist, psychologist or psychiartrist) to get at the bottom or explanation of this behavior.

Of course it is. Sad that society has given a so-called image of being the "strong & silent" ones. This, no doubt has caused problems with men opening up with their feelings.
I always appreciate the example Jesus set for us. Didn't he cry when his friend Lazarus died? AND YET, he was a perfect man.
Additionally, guys go through a type of menopause and sometimes sympathy pains when their wife is having labor.
Other than that, it is good to see your question up and now I must say bye!!! :)
