It seems that majority of Yahoo! Answers users are Americans?
it seems that questions about terms and other things unfamiliar to Americans get little attention. most of the time questions are from yahoo answers US.
or is it just me?
i am on my country's site.

Well ... just based on population, we DO outnumber the rest.
Of course, there are country-specific Y!A sites ... but questions asked on ANY English-speaking Y!A site will appear on ALL English-speaking Y!A sites, and there's no way to change that! Users can choose to SEE and ANSWER only questions originating from a particular country's site, but there's no way to limit where questions appear when asked.

There are a lot of Americans on the site. I don't think it's fair to hold that against us, if that's what you're doing. There are soccer discussions and people from foreign countries in those particular categories. You could say it is open-minded to have other nations on this site, each with their own site.

You are probably right, but it is hard to tell as I have never seen stats.
I would like to know the Chinese, Japanese and Indian users there are as they are other nations with huge populations
India uses English, but China and Japan use their own languages.
I see you as on Singapore.

True. Yahoo was started and is based in California, USA. I'd guess 98% of the users are American.

I have asked basically this exact same question before and it just fired back at me saying "YEAH WELL AMERICA INVENTED THE INTERNET AND YOU'RE NOT ON YOUR COUNTRIES SITE" rah rah rah. it was a bit ridiculous.
