How would I add strawberries to brownies?

The strawberries are frozen (I bought them fresh), and the mix is Ghirardelli- (add 1/4 c water, 1/3 c veg oil & an egg).

Update:

What about water content in the berries?

Fruit purees can be used as a substitute for egg in baked products, but it will change the consistency of the final product, and high-pectin fruits like apples are generally used.

If you're adding strawberries, that does change the moisture content of the final product, so if you don't compensate somehow, those brownies will never set up. Unfortunately, you may have to experiment to find out how much strawberry you can add without ruining the final product, and at the price of Ghirardelli mix, you may not want to do that!

You could, however, press your thawed berries through a sieve and use the resulting juice instead of some or all of the water.

I would only thaw them enough to slice and add to the cake batter and pour the mix into the pan.

    Reserve some for decoration.

they simply situation you would be able to desire to rigidity approximately is the brownie batter having too plenty liquid. you would be able to desire to attempt to decrease liquid someplace else, yet i think of your superb wager may be to make a strawberry "sauce" or syrup with the clean fruit and spoon some over the clean brownie once you pass to serve it. With some whip cream it would look truly reliable and style much extra valuable. i might decide for it. i've got used this over Cheesecake, and wager it would be reliable right here additionally. 1pint strawberries, wiped clean and stemmed one million/3 cup white sugar one million teaspoon vanilla decrease the strawberries in 0.5 (until they're small). In a saucepan over medium severe warmth, combine strawberries, sugar and vanilla. prepare dinner, stirring specially circumstances, until sauce thickens, approximately 5 minutes. eliminate from warmth, and enable it cool sufficient to put in the blender. In a blender, puree some million/3 of sauce, then blend back into the rest. save in refrigerator.
