Should I forgive him?
I have been friends with this guy for a year now. We met on facebook and he lived about 20 minutes away from me so we decided to meet up after talking for a few months. The first time we met he was an hour late so I went home. Eventually I agreed to meet him again and he was an hour late for that meeting. I told him if he wanted to be actual friends and not just FB friends that he'd have to be more respectful of my time. Over the course of a year he has either been late meeting or has given me an excuse as to why he never showed up AT ALL!!! All of them were lame excuses but I don't make friends easily and kept forgiving him. About 3 months ago I had had enough and told him I was sick of wasting my time with him and no longer wanted to be friends. He gave me time to cool off and showed up at my house appologizing and promised he'd try harder and he even got a phone to make life easier for me. Since then he has been consistantly late and when I come to pick him up for "dates" he's never ready and he leaves me sitting there while he showers and gets ready. Today we had a date at 1:00. I showed up at his house and he was unshowered. When he went to get in the shower I left and texted him that I was going home. He called me when he got out of the shower and begged me to come back over. I said I'd meet him somewhere but that I wasn't coming over to his house anymore. He said he'd meet me and at 2:00 he calls and says he's on his way. I told him I was sick to death of him thinking his time was more important than mine and that I thought he'd been a really unreliable friend over the past year. I told him if he ever came to my house EVER AGAIN that I'd call the cops. When I got home I blocked him from calling, writing, texting or FBing me. What would you do?
LOL he's not homeless. He is just really cheap and didn't want to pay for a phone or minutes. I work 7 days a week 150 days a year so it's really hard to meet people in "real life". So when I DO get time off it's very precious to me. VERY PRECIOUS TO ME!! So when I have time to hang out with him and he's late I feel I could have been doing ANYTHING else productive than waiting around for him.

either accept that being late is just part of who he is, give up on him
i have one friend who was habitually late. he called me once and said he was on the way over, i didn't see him for 48 hours. he got a lot better after he got married. he is one of my closest friends, and has been for at least 40 years
my wife's brother was always late. whenever we would plan something with him we always told him to be there at least two hours before we would

Honestly, I would have done the same thing. He totally sounds like my sister's ex-boyfriend. He was like this, totally useless and never punctual. She got over him and now she has got a new guy, who knows how to appreciate her.

Hes not worth your time. Try finding new friends somewhere else, meaning a real place like a club.
Update: Why the f*uck are you meeting homeless people on facebook. He didnt have a phone he was unshowered and late.
