I've seriously had enough.?
I posted yesterday saying i thought i was in labour. Well my contractions went away. I'm still get a sore period cramp (or like i need a poo). I've not slept in 2 days because of it. What can i do? I've got my midwife tomorrow I was going to see if she would consider giving me a sweep.
I've got two kids that i need to see to during the day so i can't nap whenever i want either. I'm so fed up, sore and tired.
I'm 38 weeks 4 days

First off, don't listen to that sicko Emma, there's a lot of cruel and insensitive people on here. Try scheduling an appointment with your doc ASAP, or tell your concerns to the midwife and she'll advise you what to do in the meantime. Stay calm and relax is the best advice I can give for now, because stress and anxiety will intensify any complications, so stay cool and try to get to a doc as soon as you can.

Emma-not every pregnancy is the same!
I'm not sure the midwife will do a sweep because you're not overdue but its worth a try x Otherwise I'm not advocating self induction but maybe try all the things they say that can bring on labour-bumpy car ride, long walk, spicy food, get down on your hands and knee's and scrub the floors. May help speed things up a bit x Good luck hun and remember it wont be long till its all over and you'll have your new baby in your arms x

i know how you feel, this happened with my first pregnancy i woke up at 5am with some yucky stuff gushing out of me and pains in my back, the pains kept coming quickly and going away quickly, just like period cramps, and i was bleeding like a period, i started getting stronger pains and i began timing them anyways they got down to 3minuets but didnt hurt very much,, so i went to hospital and i was only 3cm, they sent me home. the contractions then started at 10minuets apart and got down to 7 and were pretty painful, so i went back to hospital where they sent me onto delivery suit, i was then sent home again in 1piece!!! i was gutted and didnt know what was going on, id been in labor 3days at this point and at the end of my teather, they would not help me, would not induce me, told me they had to let my body do what it needed to do. eventually on day4 my contractions became unbareable and i was admitted to hospital where they speeded up my labor and i eventually gave birth.
all i can say is labor has started.... walking and sex will really help you right now and i know they are both the last things on your mind but they will help alot and may just be enough to get labor started properly

Emma, that's the most intelligent post I've ever seen!
Just try to relax as much as possible. Maybe you could take a bath, it helped my mom when she was having a lot of pain, when my little brother was born.

I hear you. I don't think there is any answer though!! You can try sex, pineapple, curry, long walks, squats, bouncing on a fit ball etc
