Most important, don't overcook it! Cook the noodles on the stove in chicken or beef broth instead of water. Put in all the things you like. Add minced garlic, onion, celery. and a grated carrot. Sir in a little soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, or Worcestershire sauce. If you have some leftover meat, chop or shred it and add it to the pot. Add some sunflower seed kernels, peanuts, or cashews. Mushrooms are good, too. If you like hot and sour soup, add a little vinegar and hot sauce. Yum!

My favorite way is to cook the ramen in boiling water and when it's nice and boiling, I throw in two raw eggs and they cook there. It's really tasty and I throw in some peas and carrots or some other vegetable mainly because I'm a veggie freak (love them) so yeah~
That's just how I eat them!

One thing I would suggest is to only add half of those seasoning packets - the sodium level is insane. Half a packet is enough to flavor them.
Scallions, water chestnuts, a drop or two of dark sesame oil and any other veggies you like will give you a nice oriental dish. You can also drain them and then fry in peanut or sesame oil for crispy noodles like you get in Chinese restaurants. Again, adding favorite veggies, leftover chicken or shrimp, even cubes of tofu would be good additions.

Ive always cooked them on the stove. I never made them in the microwave. No matter what flavor I get, chicken, beef, chile, etc, I always had tons of red pepper flakes to the water. A couple of times I added cooked shredded chicken.

I like it cooked on the stove top, especially after stir frying vegetables to serve with the noodles.

I have dropped egg in it that is a good way you can also not use the packet and add your own spices of choice to the water. You can also treat it like the chinese rice and add cooked peas and carrots to it.
