The word for a leg/limb that bends in two places?

What is the word to describe a leg or a limb that bends in two places? Like a dog's hind leg, for example. It has two distinct joints in the leg that bend separately. Is there a word to describe this? How would you say it?

Update:

Yes, I know that we have similar bone structure. I'd like to know a better way to describe it, though.

We have the same joints, but they are placed differently in a human. A dog is basically walking on tip toe as the second joint is the equivalent of a human ankle.
