I agree with the first answerer, but my first reaction to that question - was only if I read the thing. :-D.
The manual is my last resort, after I've pressed every button & the thing I was aiming only to get to tell the correct time, is now bleeping loudly. That's me to a tea/tee.
God bless

The system doesn't force anything on you. It is the result of a historical, cultural, and sociological mishmash. It is the result of how we choose to live. The system is a product of us. We tell it what do, what to think, etc. If you don't take control of your own life, someone/something else will. The Holy Bible is nothing more than a prime example of how the idea of God has been raped and demonized into a political guide for rulers to conquer masses of people through fear, oppression, and law. Remember "King James Version"... And I quote once again... "King James". The only thing good is the idea of Jesus and his teachings. If you want a REAL instruction manual to life, start studying Philosophy. In particular Plato, whom existed nearly 500 years prior to Christ himself. Philosophy is quite misunderstood by most people, so don't let anyone deter you from it. It is literally the theory of everything. You will learn more about yourself and the world around you than anything else you will ever read. It is life changing. :)

There are many instruction manuals out there making your life harder to live.
They fall in three basic categories:
1. Claimed Divine Scriptures
e.g. Bible, Koran, Geeta, Guru Granth Sahib etc.
2. Philosophical Schools of Thought
e.g. Buddhism, Taoism, Confuciusism etc.
3. Success Literature:
e.g. Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, The Wealthy Barber, Fourth Dimension etc.

Being a typical male,I'd just toss the instructions over my shoulder anyway! No,seriously, life would be more manageable, but less exciting. My instruction manual is called The Kybalion.Too bad it took me all my life to find it.But,as the book says, you can't find wisdom until you are ready to receive it.

That's what we have, that's what we should avoid.
The system is the instruction manual. Telling us what to think, feel, eat, smell and do. It controls what we watch on TV and what we believe in. It tells us their version of history and deceives us.
Most of us are so dependent on the system that if it fell, so would we.

The parents are supposed to guide you, and you get to decide who you want to be, unfortunately things can go wrong, most parents either they don't care, they are control freaks ( they think their kids are house pets ) taking from them the most important thing : freedom, or they are just lame parents. Learning on your own works good enough if you learn from mistakes made by you or others.

No. It would become oppressingly boring without any content. One would be like a robot with a very finite set of preprogrammed responses.

If there was any life would be boring. We won't make any mistakes, and that means we would never learn anything. Our intellectual level would be zero, and then we would be called androids, not humans.

it is the parents job to develop your character.- Father Flanagan ♥
