Will you place your future on a few contaminated texts when others disagree?

John 1:1c.

The Word had a beginning and was with God, the Word was like a god, i.e. the Word was divine.

God is YHWH/ JEHOVAH and is UNCAUSED [Revelation 4:10], the Word had a beginning and is the First Cause [Micah 5:2; John 1:2, 3; Colossians 1:15-17; Hebrews 1:1, 2; 1 Corinthians 8:6].

Compare 1 John 5:7, 8; Revelation 1:11 and 1 Timothy 3:16, in the KJV v.s. NLT, NIV, ESV, GNB etc.

No... our future is dependent on God's love, mercy and grace through Jesus Christ, who He is and what He has done.

Speaking of "contaminated text"... the NWT is an altered version of the Bible made for JW's by the Watch Tower Society, not by language scholars, to align with it's doctrine and beliefs. It is good that you are comparing with other texts.

The KJV has it's issues as well. For your example - 1 John 5:7,8 - the parts of the verses, "in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, and these three are One; and there are three witnesses on the earth" are found only in later manuscripts. The others are similar, such as the use of the word "God" or "He". Our future is not really dependent on the interpretation, translation or version of the Bible that we use.

Personally, I use the NASB because it is the most literal translation in today's English. I also occasionally use the Amplified and the KJV for comparison, but mostly I depend on His Spirit for better understanding.

    hi there.

    no thanks.

i performed a systematic search of every scripture describing who god is.

then i grouped them in categories according to what they, the scriptures themselves, say.

no jw has ever done this.

The Father is God (see John 6:27; Ephesians 4:6; 1 Peter 1:2)

The Son is God (see Mark 5:19-20; Luke 8:39; John 8:58)

The Holy Spirit is God (see Luke 4:18; John 14:16-17, 26; Ephesians 4:30)

There is One God (see Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10; 1 Corinthians 8:4)

You can find a scripture on almost anything to try and prove a point on whatever.

But That is where you have to use to Bible to interpret itself.

If we find our understanding or interpretation contradicted in many other scriptures we must rethink it and adjust our mid to what the overall scriptures are telling us, regardless of what we have been raised to believe.

So , why is "God the Father mentioned several times , but God the Son or God the Holy Sprit is not?

Why is the Word trinity or Godhead not EVER mentioned anywhere in the Bible

Why is the Actual TEACHING not anywhere in the Bible

Why did Jesus say "The Father is GREATER than I am ? (He nor any of his disciples ever make an exception to that , nor did he ever lie.

How could Satan tempt him if he were almighty God in the Flesh? And how could it be a temptation if he could not have possibly succumbed to that temptation? And if he did how would that work? One part of God on earth that now belonged to Satan and the other 2/3 in Heaven?

    Look up these scriptures please.

<Mathew 6:9 why not "our Names" Matt 7:21 -why not our ? 20:23 -just read it and 24:36 mat26:39

Luke 4:8 did not mention self (EVER in the regard) Luke 4:43 not was sent (never says went on his own or sent himself) Luke 22:29 Did he make a covenant with himself? 22:42 Is he pleading with his other self? or other part and why? Would he not already know or have to ask himself?

John 1:14 ONLY BEGOTTEN , can he beget himself? see Proverbs 8:22

John 1:18 has anyone seen Jesus? 2:16 why not say MY or OUR house?

John 3:35 Would he have to do that for himself? And ever notice nowhere does of the other two say they love the holy spirit or it them??? and the Father is Jehovah, son Jesus and the Holy Spirit? hmmm no name? Holy Spirit is a term not a name.

John 4:34 again never does Jesus say to worship the Son or Jesus.

John 5:14 and note vs 19 he does only what he beholds the father doing. Is he just watching himself?

John 5:22 ,and note vs 26 he has to GRANT to the Son to have life in himself. How could that be if they are the same being?John 5:30 self exp. vs 36 did he assign himself work?5:37

5:41 , 6:27 did he have to put a seal of approval on himself and by Himself? John 7:16,29

John 8:28 did he teach himself? 10:18 did he command himself? 13:16 and was sent by the Father

14:1 note have faith in GOD and in ME , if he were God why would he say both?

John14:28 very plain 15:1 15:15 heard from GOD , did he hear from his other self?

John 17:3 ONLY TRUE GOD , JEHOVAH !!

17:4 Not along side you, NOT part of you or as you...and note vs 9 he made request of God , if he were GOD why would have to do that?

John 20:17 ascended to your GOD and MY GOD. Acts 2:32 NOTE Exalted, how could Almighty God be exalted to any higher position none the less to the right hand side of himself? Act 5:31

Acts 7:55-56 again at right hand. SIDE NOTE can you find any scripture depicting heaven where it EVER shows a trinity? or for that matter the Holy Spirit ?

Acts 11:38 If the Holy Spirit is a person , did he anoint himself with himself?

Romans 8:34 Who does he plead to if he himself is GOD?

1 Co 2:16 read 8:6 again ONE God the Father...

1 Co 11:3 The head of the Christ is who?

1 Co 15:24-25 Note he hands the Kingdom back over to his GOD and Father!

(how would that work if they are the same being?)read on through at least vs 28

Eph 1:20 5:1 ***Philippians 2:5*** 2:8 did he have to learn to be obedient to himself, or who?

BIG ONE HERE Colossians 1:15 Please read

    1 Tim 2:5 Hebrews 2:7

5:7 fear of self? 5:8 obedience to whom? was he made his own mediator of himself to himself?

    7:24,25 note approach GOD t h r o u g h Jesus !

9:24 Appeared before GOD not as God or to himself or other self or part.

10:7 note: to do YOUR will , not mine or ours , that is NEVER said

1 Pet 1:3 3:22 Revelation 1:1 He is here in heaven, did he give a revelation to himself or other self or other part and why NEVER to the HOLY Spirit? 3:21 7:10 note never anywhere says GODS plural

God is always shown to be a different person than the son but same as the Father NEVER are both said to be the same .

An honest hearted person would look into these scriptures and find an answer, and from the BIBLE

And not just say "Well its a holy mystery"

I do not place my faith or my future on contaminated texts. That is why I use the King James Version of the Bible, translated from the majority of texts and the Textus Receptus.

    Question:

Will you place your future on a few contaminated texts when the overwhelming majority of appropriately-accredited scholars disagree?

The NWT is the only blasphemous translation on earth.
