How can I make sweet and sour sauce without using soy sauce?

I need to make a Sweet & Sour sauce to go with dinner tonight, All the recipes I've seen called for Soy Sauce which I don't have...Does anyone have any recipes for Sweet & Sour Sauce without it? Or give me suggestions as to other similar sauces or ideas? Thank you!

    If you like worcestershire sauce you could use that, but that isn't the way to get the sour use some lemon or lime juice

    1 cup white vinegar

    1/3 cup sugar

    1 tablespoon ketchup

    1 tablespoon vegetarian Worcestershire Sauce (such as Lea & Perrins vegetarian Worcestershire Sauce)

    1/4 teaspoon salt

    1/4 teaspoon Monosodium glutamate (MSG)

    Preparation:

    Combine the ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring.

    Adjust the salt and/or eliminate the MSG as you wish.

    2 c. vinegar, white or rice

    3/4 c. brown sugar

    1/4 c. + 2 tbs. ketchup

    2 tbs. soy sauce shopping list

    1/4 c. cornstarch

    1/2 c. cool water

    How to make it

    In a medium pot, mix vinegar, sugar, ketchup and soy sauce together; bring to a low boil.

    In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water, then gently stir into the boiling pot.

    Cook and stir until thickened.

    make the recipe you like

    just don't add the soy

    it will still taste great
