As per another question similar to this, the UN are the peace keepers and are the ones to get involved or Syrias neighbouring Countries should be the ones to negotiate a peace agreement...I doubt whether any other Countries especially America who are not wanted - should not get involved. I Just spoke to a Chinese familys' son who has been to University in Israel, and they are identical to any other western Country and are neutral, and apparently most of the young people there are for peace, so I don't see why they would want to get involved - best to leave it to Syrias fellow neighbouring Countrymen, and the UN if they get involved.

If they do, it would be on the side of the government since Syria is a client state of Russia. Thus, they will join the likes of Hezbollah (a notorious terrorist group) which is also fighting on the side of the government since Syria is the land bridge from Iran for getting weapons. However, they would run into all sorts of trouble since the opposition (the "rebels") are heavily manned by the Moslem Brotherhood and Al Quida, both of which will start terrorist attacks inside Russia.
As it stands, the war in Syria is being fought by terrorist groups on both sides with the civilians being caught in the middle
Source(s): Iran, which has strong ties to the Syrian government, is also watching closely. Our president set a "red line" that, if crossed, will result in American action. That line HAS been crossed (use of poison gas) and the president has done nothing more than to ask for more "information". Thus, Iran sees that the US will do nothing real to stop their march to the Atomic bomb. - ?Lv 78 years ago
I dont see the point of that. Russia had been trying to broker a truce between the insurgents and Assad.

to offer you a short answer, Muammer began shooting demonstrators heavily from day one, mutually as Assad became into affected person, and his squaddies have been shooting a handful an afternoon, making it appear as if a revolt administration Muammer declared out loud that he will kill all who rose against him, mutually as Assad waited a pair of year till now he secured his alliance with Russia, China and Iran, and started finished attack, and with those international places on his area, any western intervention could be particularly risky one greater reason is that Syrian people underestimated the area; mutually as Libyans asked for intervention from the start, Syrians made it sparkling to have no intervention, and mutually as Libyans went rapidly to palms, understanding it is the only language Muammer is conscious, Syrians persevered their passive resistance for a pair of year and wasted powerful time for development the resistance military

Syria bought its weapons from russia when it was the USSR. Putin will not engage militarily unless the US sends troops. Putin will flex his muscle against the US if we assist Israel.
