Doing a 4wd trip on crutches and bare feet. Anyone been in a similar situation?
I have been on crutches for a long time with an on-going foot injury and a nerve damage issue.and I try to just do everything I normally do. A friend has asked me to go on a 4wd trip over some farms at the weekend. He will be driving, my job will be opening and closing gates which I will have to do on my crutches and in bare feet.

I suppose your friend can pick you up if your crutches sink into soft ground...
But I really don't like bare feet in farm country. Especially around fences and gates: that's where you're going to find bits of metal to step on. Come up with some boots you can wear, or oversized sandals, at the very least.
