Rob Lowe's Criminal Charge?
I have frequently seen Rob Lowe mentioned as someone who got away with statutory rape but when I checked, the 16 year old he was was in Georgia, and the age of consent in Georgia is 16 even now. So whatever he was charged with, it wasn't statutory rape. What was he actually charged with?
He served 20 hours of community service for _something_, and based on the sentence it was a misdemeanor, but I don't know what.

He wasn't charged with anything. And you are correct that the age of consent was 16.
It was one of the first celebrity sex tapes, so it pretty much tanked his career for a good long time.
