why is assault on a police officer worse than regular assault?

Because they are part of the internal circle of power. Judges (Lawyers), politicians, and law enforcement take care of each other. Do you ever wonder why certain cops have had dozens of charges come against them, yet they are still allowed to serve on the force.

America has changed from the way it was fifty years ago. Back then police were there to protect and serve. Now they have thrown away those duties and vowed to keep civilians in line and dominate.

Love your friend and I hope nothing happens to him, because common sense would dictate that throwing food at someone is not assault. But, because it was an officer he might get some time.

They think they are a cut above the rest of us, when in actuality, an assault on a cop should get you a merit badge. The first time I "assaulted" an officer was when I kicked him while putting me in the car, I was seriously surprised at that time that they would even charge me with that just because I kicked him and told him so. Now of course, I'm older and wiser and know that just looking at them wrong is enough to get you charged. They don't put their pants on one leg at a time and their sh*it doesn't stink either.

Well, assaults on police are worse because the police are the people that protect you, and without them I guess you can't be protected. Still though, assault is assault.

answer is simple they r the protectors and peace officers.this is a example if u rob a normal store u can easily escape but if u rob a big bank then escaping is very difficult doesn't matter u rob there should not be any difference after all u rob why getting caught is easy for bank and not for store?i hope it helps!!!
