Worried about my foot healing?
So I broke my talus bone about a month ago. It was an slight displace fracture on both sides and initially my doctor said it would be 8-12 weeks before I could even bare weight on it. So like I said that was about a month ago and when I went in today to get it checked up, they took an x-ray and the bone had completely healed and the doctor said that I was good to walk on it and he said I didn't need a walking boot or physical therapy or anything. So I thought it was a little bit weird, but I trusted that he knew what he was talking about and I've walked on it some, but it still hurts pretty bad and I'm starting to wonder if maybe I should stay off of it some more. I kind of want a second opinion. Does anyone know if pain is normal? Cause the doctor said that it would feel weird and stiff for a few months, but he didn't say it would be painful. Maybe I'm over reacting, but I just want to be absolutely positive that it's okay to walk on before I potentially do even more damage. So I'm just wondering if anyone knows if it realistically would have healed that fast and if it's normal for it to hurt when walking on for the first few days. Thanks!

If you actually broke your talus it takes 6 weeks to heal and I know of no doctors that would allow you to weight bear sooner. Also, most doctors would prescribe you physical therapy for the injury. Get a second opinion now, call a Podiatrist and have them take an X ray.
